Lauryn Williams, B.B.A. ’05

Lauryn, who has been running since the age of 9, recalls her athletic journey both as a track star at the U and as a gold & silver Olympic medalist. Her extraordinary transition from the summer Olympics to the winter games where she won a silver medal in bobsled, has put Lauryn in the record books. She credits her accomplishments to the encouragement from her father who instilled the notion of achievement and pride in everything she pursued. Lauryn’s words and example are inspirational to all young people with a passion, with the drive to always “do better”. Her message, however, is not exclusive to athletes. Lauryn is the embodiment of the word “champion”!
